Description

A well-planned and executed systematic plan of evaluation (SPE) is critical to program success and, especially, successful accreditation. Dr. Fields will share the template she and a colleague developed to guide programs in developing and implementing a SPE that meets Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) standards. Using the analogy of nursing process, participants will gain insight and learn strategies to fully engage faculty in the ongoing process of developing and using the SPE to guide program improvement and success Objectives Describe the components and purpose of the SPE for nursing programs. Examine a SPE template that meets ACEN accreditation standards and provides documentation guidelines. Discuss strategies for successful implementation of the SPE.
