The Certified Infection Prevention Specialty Professional (CIPSP) course is accredited by New York State for Mandated Infection Control and Barrier Protection proficiency. This program is designed to train the Certified Health and Safety Officer, with continuing education credit available for physicians, physician assistants, and nurses.

This course provides learners with training on clinical infection control principles approved for all healthcare workers. It also includes robust, specialty level content.

• Describe regulatory requirements and proper methods for cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization
• Explain regulations and best practices related to prevention and control of infectious disease
• Describe the history of tuberculosis in the United States
• Describe how tuberculosis is transmitted and best practices for preventing transmission
