Mary O’Brien, M.D., is a full-time INR instructor, physician educator, and course writer. She is a boardcertified physician in geriatrics and internal medicine and has served on the medical school faculties of Georgetown University and the University of North Carolina. She is also a board-certified Physician Nutrition Specialist. Dr. O’Brien has served on the editorial boards of several medical journals and has published extensively in professional journals. On the subjects of pain management, pharmacology, geriatrics, and nutrition, she frequently lectures to health
professionals. Dr. O’Brien has served as a reviewer for the Bureau of Health Professionals at the Department of Health and Human Services.
