Tammy McCarty is a licensed and certified veterinary technician with over 17 years’ experience in emergency and critical care, in which she has worked as an emergency and ICU supervisor. In 2014 she earned her specialty certificate in emergency and critical care. She presented her case study “An Ethical Dilemma” at the 22nd annual IVECCS symposium. Her greatest accomplishment and weakness is falling in love with each patient she cares for. Her passion is being able to share her knowledge and skills with the veterinary community. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her mastiff-hound puppy Billie and young cat Bruce Wayne.
