The course 2 details the procedure to be applied for a complete and precise binocular vision/orthoptic evaluation. The course describes all the procedures in a much simpler manner to be followed in the clinic.

2. To be able to effectively and precisely examine a patient with binocular vision dysfunction and ocular deviation

Neeraj Singh is a Research Associate at The Borish Center for Ophthalmic Research, Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana, USA. He is also a Visiting Research Scholar at the department of Ophthalmology, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. After receiving his Baccalaureate degree in Optometry from Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital (affiliated to IGNOU) as the best outgoing student, he practiced for a few years and soon pursued a Master of Philosophy degree in Vision Science from The Elite School of Optometry (affiliated to BITS Pilani), Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai, India. Neeraj is a fellow of the Harvard Medical School (FHMS) and has pursued his research fellowship under Prof. Eli Peli, OD, MS from The Schepens Eye Research Institute of Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard University, Boston, USA. He also did an externship at New England Eye Center, affiliated to Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, USA. Neeraj also worked with Prof. Susana Marcos at the Institute of Optics in Madrid as a Marie Curie Early Career Research Fellow.

His core areas of research interest encompass visual optics, presbyopia, optical aberrations, myopia control, psychophysics, and predictive modeling. Alongside, he also has a keen interest in binocular vision and perceptual aspects of vision. He holds some of the most prestigious and highly competitive awards including Harvard University International Research Fellowship, Young Investigator Award from Govt. of NCT of Delhi, World Council of Optometry Fellowship Award, and the Marie Curie fellowship from European Commission. Neeraj has several publications in international peer-reviewed journals, has presented in several international conferences, and also serves on the review board of many Ophthalmic and Optometry journals including Optometry & Vision Science, Clinical Ophthalmology, Clinical Optometry, Ophthalmic & Physiological Optics, PLOSE-ONE, and several others.
