Description

This one-hour course reviews therapeutic contact lens options and when to utilize their application for patients with a variety of ocular conditions. Complications and troubleshooting tips will be reviewed. Management of these conditions through rapid fire case presentation will be discussed.

Objectives

To understand the therapeutic contact lens options that are FDA approved.
Review how to select initial therapeutic contact lens based on ocular condition.

Dr Jennifer Harthan OD, FAAO

Dr. Jennifer S. Harthan received her optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. She completed a residency in cornea and contact lenses at ICO and joined the institution as a full-time faculty member after completion of her residency. Throughout her clinical experience, she has also worked in private practice and hospital-based settings and continues to work in private practice part-time. Dr. Harthan is a Professor at the Illinois College of Optometry and is Chief of the Cornea Center for Clinical Excellence at the Illinois Eye Institute. Dr. Harthan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Fellow of the Scleral Lens Education Society, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Harthan is actively involved in lecturing, publishing and participating in research on the topics of anterior segment disease and contact lenses.
