Description

This video provides an introduction to the world of aquatic veterinary medicine, the diversity of species and phyla treated and the basic requirements needed for those who would wish to incorporate pet fish medicine in to their small animal practice.

Objectives

Understand the basics of aquatic veterinary medicine.
What are the differences between treating terrestrial animals and those who live in water
Set up a pet fish practice
Know the equipment you already have and how you can use it for fish vetting, know what equipment you might need to purchase.
Know where to look for information on fish vetting and other aquatic animal medicine
Have a resource you can use to answer questions and queries you may have regarding being a fish vet or being involved with aquatic mammals.
