Description

This session is about the complications of hospital-acquired infection. It continues the management of the case described in session ‘Hospital Acquired Fever: What to do’.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Recognise the complications of S. aureus/MRSA bacteraemia
• Identify the principles of good central venous catheter practice
• Recognise the principles of MRSA screening and isolation
• Discuss the principles of good dress code
• Identify the 5-point scheme for correct hand hygiene
