Ramachandran Sivakumar
on behalf of Health Education England

Dr Sivakumar is a Consultant Physician with an interest in stroke. Besides participating in the hyperacute stroke rota, he also participates in the general medicine rota. He has published more than 20 peer reviewed articles and 3 e-learning modules on stroke-related topics for Doctors.net.uk. He won the NHS Innovations East award in 2009 for best innovation in software for development of a multidisciplinary discharge summary.

After undergraduate and postgraduate training in India, he continued his postgraduate training in Lancashire and Merseyside. He completed his higher specialist training in General and Geriatric Medicine in the North Thames West rotation prior to appointment as a Consultant in 2006.

His professional interests include: the teaching and training of junior doctors, the development of e-learning and software for clinical care.
