Description

Our Acute Care Splinting course provides information on the treatment choices needed in managing selected musculoskeletal injures. While acute care splints are commonly applied for the initial treatment of fractures or dislocations, they are also used to decrease the spread of infection, and immobilize tendon injuries or complex lacerations.

This course includes five video lectures - Long Arm Posterior Splint, Low Leg Sugar Tong and Posterior Splint, Arm Sugar Tong Splint, Thumb Spica Splint and Volar Wrist Splint.

Tom has spent over 30 years teaching/lecturing, student preceptor and mentoring peers who struggled diagnosing and treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries. He understands first hand the challenges unique to new grads or providers new to orthopaedics. That is why Orthopaedic Educational Services, Inc. was developed. We will help you master the skills needed for physical examination, x-ray interpretation and will help you diagnose common orthopaedic conditions.
