Description

This session describes the essentials of using rotameters and electronic gas flowmeters on modern anaesthetic machines. It also covers the essentials of using modern vaporizers.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Describe how to use rotameters on an anaesthetic machine
• Describe how to use electronic gas flow controls on an anaesthetic machine
• Explain how to prevent hypoxic gas mixtures
• Describe how to use different vaporizer controls
