Description

This session outlines the purpose and procedure of a non-rapid sequence IV induction of anaesthesia.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Describe the stages of non-rapid sequence induction (non-RSI)
• Identify the potential problems during non-RSI of anaesthesia
• Give examples of when an IV induction is not the best technique and when an inhalational induction would be better
