Simon Sparkes
on behalf of Health Education England

Simon gained his medical degree from Guy’s and St Thomas’ in 2001. Since then he has spent time training in general medicine, emergency and retrieval medicine, anaesthesia and intensive care.

Although most of his training has been in the south of England and London, he spent an amazing 2 years in Western Australia. He travelled extensively during his time working for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and made the most of the watersports and weather during his time off.

He has been a Consultant since 2014 and his interests lie in education, echocardiography, ultrasound, transfer and retrieval medicine.

Simon is a content author for the e-ICM project.
