Anthony Absalom and Dinesh Nethirasigamani

Anthony Absalom:
Consultant Anaesthetist, professor of anaesthesia, University Medical Centre Groningen in the Netherlands

Anthony Absalom MBChB FRCA MD qualified from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and trained in anaesthesia in East Anglia and Scotland. His research interests include measurement of anaesthetic depth, pharmacology, and mechanisms of anaesthetic action.

Dinesh Nethirasigamani:
Specialist Registrar in Anaesthesia and advanced trainee in Critical Care Medicine, Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.

Dinesh completed his higher speciality training in anaesthesia and critical care medicine at East Anglia (UK) and Toronto, Canada.

He has an interest in the application of bedside imaging in critical care and perioperative medicine.

He was involved in the collection of data and the writing of this session.
