Description

This session will enable you to recognise and understand the causes of air space shadowing, ground glass, mosaicism and crazy paving.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
Distinguish the basic causes of mosaicism
Recognise the difference between ground glass opacity (GGO) and consolidation
Recognise crazy paving and be aware of the possible causes

Stephen is currently Lead Thoracic Radiologist at Barts and the London NHS Trust and is based at the London Chest Hospital. In July 2009 he became Module Editor of the 1b Thoracic-Respiratory module of the Radiology Integrated Training Initiative (R-ITI) and is currently Clinical Lead for the R-ITI programme.
