Description

This session covers the nature, natural history and associations of malignant mesothelioma including the the features that indicate malignant rather than benign pleural disease. It also details the spectrum of radiographic presentation of mesothelioma and explains the pathologies that may mimic malignant mesothelioma along with the various biopsy options and their pitfalls.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:

Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Lead for the R-ITI programme

Stephen is currently Lead Thoracic Radiologist at Barts and the London NHS Trust and is based at the London Chest Hospital. In July 2009 he became Module Editor of the 1b Thoracic-Respiratory module of the Radiology Integrated Training Initiative (R-ITI) and is currently Clinical Lead for the R-ITI programme.
