This session covers imaging and interventional radiological treatment of massive haemoptysis.

Objectives

Differentiate between the pathophysiology of massive haemoptysis and trivial haemoptysis
Determine the appropriate method of imaging
Describe how to treat successfully with a minimum complication rate

Tony Nicholson is a Consultant Vascular and Interventional Radiologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals with a special interest in the endovascular control of haemorrhage. He has been a Past President of the BSIR and past Dean and Vice President of the Royal College of Radiololgists. Elected a Distinguished Fellow of CIRSE in 2009.
