Description

This session describes how to interpret the imaging findings in patients with chronic wrist pain and advise upon further investigation.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Sytematically evaluate imaging in patients with chronic wrist pain
• Identify the appearances of common fractures and their complications
• Identify the patterns associated with intrinsic ligament injuries

Waqar Bhatti -
Consultant in Musculoskeltal and Sports Radiology

Waqar Bhatti has been a consultant in musculoskeltal and sports radiology at the South Manchester University hospital NHST since 2001. He has membership of both the European and British Societies of Skeletal Radiology and is actively involved in teaching.

Richard Whitehouse -
Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist

Dr Richard Whitehouse has been a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist at Manchester Royal Infirmary since 1991, prior to which he worked as a research fellow in computed tomography at Manchester Medical School, using techniques of bone mineral density measurement. He is a member of the International Skeletal Society and the British and European societies of Skeletal Radiology.
