Description

This session examines the uses and limitations of plain abdominal radiography, as well as the principles of abdominal plain film interpretation.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Describe the uses and limitations of plain abdominal radiography
• List the uses of supplemental projections
• Identify and accurately interpret basic radiographic densities

David Scullion
on behalf of Health Education England

David Scullion is Consultant Radiologist at Harrogate District Foundation Trust. He is a general radiologist with an interest in abdominal imaging and interventional radiology. He qualified in 1985 and undertook radiology training at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. As well as managing the day-to-day stresses of a busy general radiology practice, he particularly enjoys teaching at all levels from surgeons upwards.
