Description

This session provides an overview of the indications for intervention on breast disease. It also gives important information about intervention methods, and about the imaging modalities that are involved in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Describe the range of interventional methods used to diagnose and treat breast disease
• Select the correct procedure, modality and guidance technique for the presenting clinical situation
• Describe how to apply the correct procedure, modality and guidance techniques
• Describe the limitations of available techniques and possible complications
