Description

This session provides an overview of the role of imaging in a child who presents with acute abdominal pain, with particular reference to the older child.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
• List the most important causes of acute non-traumatic abdominal pain in children
• Discuss the role of imaging in the management of acute abdominal pain in children
• Discuss the relative merits of the various imaging modalities in the investigation of acute abdominal pain
