Jason M. Liu, MD, MPH

J. Marc Liu, MD, MPH has been a MCW faculty member since 2005. Dr. Liu completed his undergraduate, medical school, and residency training at Northwestern University, and fellowship training in out-of-hospital medicine and Master of Public Health at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Liu's areas of interest include emergency medical services (out-of-hospital) and disaster/mass casualty medicine. He has held several positions related to emergency preparedness and out-of-hospital medicine at the local, state, and federal levels, where he has provided technical and policy advising, as well as field medical care. Dr. Liu served as a medical officer in the United States Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. He also spent five years as a supervisory physician in the National Disaster Medical System, United States Department of Health and Human Services. In all of these capacities, Dr. Liu works to promote coordination between public agencies and private organizations at all levels.
