Hazel Edwards
on behalf of Health Education England

Hazel Edwards qualified as a diagnostic radiographer in 1988 and specialised in ultrasound in 1997. She has been a senior lecturer for the University of Hertfordshire and a consultant sonographer at the Norwich Radiology Academy. Currently she works for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and continues to teach regularly at several academic institutions.

Hazel has published many ultrasound-related articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for Radiography. She was deputy editor and then editor of the scientific publication Ultrasound for a total of six years, and was editor of Imaging & Oncology for eight years until 2017.

For many years she has been involved in the clinical and academic training and assessing of ultrasound practitioners from a variety of professional backgrounds. She anticipates that these sessions may offer a valuable source of CPD to some of those using ultrasound.
