Linda Rendle

Linda has been working in palliative care for over 20 years. Initially she set up and ran the Pilgrims day hospice in Margate, Kent and then went on to work as a community Clinical Nurse Specialist. She joined the education department five years ago as a lecturer and has completed her Post Graduate Certificate of Higher Education at Greenwich University.

She currently delivers a wide range of educational programmes in end of life care throughout east Kent and post graduate and foundation degree level modules for local universities.

Linda has an interest in bereavement assessment. Her dissertation research project helped support work of her Hospice Bereavement Issues Group aimed at improving the organisation’s bereavement services. This group was highly commended at the Macmillan Cancer Relief International Journal of Palliative Nursing Awards in 2005.
