I have many years experience in administrative work in both social and palliative care services. I have continually increased my understanding and practice of communication skills in these client and patient focused settings. My current administrative post supports research in end of life care.

I am the Voluntary Services Manager at Sir Michael Sobell House in Oxford. I manage a team of 140 volunteers who help to improve the service that our paid staff can provide. I initially trained as a secretary but quickly moved into administration and finally management. I have NVQ level 4 in Business and Administration and am an NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier. I taught office skills for many years at evening class Most of my working career has been customer orientated and I am therefore an experienced communicator.

I’m also working on End of Life Care project as a Content Author.
