Sameer Trikha and Bijan Beigi

Sameer Trikha -
Sameer Trikha received academic distinction at the University of Southampton Medical School, where he obtained a first class honours degree in Biochemistry and Physiology. Sameer has been extensively involved in medical education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, developing teaching curricula for clinical medical students and emergency staff. Most recently, Sameer contributed to the book entitled ‘How to Succeed at Medical Interview’ published by Blackwell. He successfully completed the MRCOphth examination and is currently an Ophthalmology Specialist Trainee in the Wessex Deanery.

Bijan Beigi -
Bijan Beigi runs the ocular Adnexal Service in Norwich and is the Lead of Ophthalmology to the University of East Anglia. He is a Royal College of Ophthalmologists lead trainer, and external clinical advisor. He is special advisor to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) for new surgical procedures in the UK. His basic ophthalmic training was in Dublin (UCD), Bristol Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospitals (UK). He has been a member of ESOPRS for 15 years. He is a founder member of BOPSS. Apart from cataract surgery he specialises in orbital surgery in particular orbital trauma and eyelid and mid-face cosmetic surgery. He has published over 60 articles.
