Description

This session explores patient-based learning activities, either with or without the patient being present. It demonstrates these with videos of case scenarios and offers practical suggestions to liberate learning.

Objectives

By the end of this session you will be able to:
• Describe the background to Liberated Learning and the conclusions it reached
• Employ learning activies for when the patient is present
• Employ learning activies for when the patient is not present

Stephen is currently Lead Thoracic Radiologist at Barts and the London NHS Trust and is based at the London Chest Hospital. In July 2009 he became Module Editor of the 1b Thoracic-Respiratory module of the Radiology Integrated Training Initiative (R-ITI) and is currently Clinical Lead for the R-ITI programme.
