Description

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Along with advanced technology that increases options for life-sustaining care, comes greater responsibility for health care professionals, particularly physicians, to manage patients’ care appropriately while ensuring that their preferences are honored.

This activity was designed to assist physicians in helping patients plan for their future care needs; make informed decisions about clinical care while they are fully functional; and educate patients and their families about care choices that can result in optimal end-of-life care.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational activity is intended for all professionals involved in delivering patient care, with particular emphasis on physicians. Nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, and physician assistants will also benefit.
