Description

Healthcare is facing surmounting digital disruption and technology modernization. Historically, healthcare has had difficulty with leading-edge technology (e.g., AngularJS, block chain, AI). In areas such as patient engagement, organizations need to invest in faster, more agile systems to meet consumers where they are, and provide digital experiences that engage them. How can you keep up? Success depends on your ability to compete for talent—and it’s never been more difficult. IT unemployment is low. Demand drives up the cost of experienced developers. Entry-level candidates rarely have the knowledge and corporate experience required to support complex initiatives. Acquiring and retaining talent in leading-edge technologies is a challenge that exists in large cities and small towns, as few people have these skill sets. This session will cover a case study on Anthem’s Next-Generation Workforce program, which upskills local entry-level candidates in AngularJS and prepares them for work at Anthem.
