This is a valuable course in helping facilitate good communication and interaction between students and others.

Students come less prepared to our classroom how to deal with social situations. This course helped pin point how to teach this skills to our students. Teaching these skills might take some of your teaching time but at the end you will save time because students learn to interact with each other correctly and there will be less behavior problems due to it.

Description

School is a social experience. Besides needing to communicate and behave appropriately during classroom activities, children interact with one another constantly. Developing social abilities is an often overlooked yet important contributor to a child's well being. Children's success with others is influenced by their social cognition – their ability to communicate and act in socially acceptable ways.

social behaviors/ norms/ acceptances start their first year of school. It is so important to model for them and allow them to know exactly what is acceptable and what is not.
