Description

CUBES is a mnemonic strategy to help students with word problems. The CUBES text annotation strategy reminds students of a step-by-step process on for creating expressions or equations to solve word applications.

Objectives

Gain knowledge of CUBES as a differentiated instructional strategy.
Participants will learn how to use the CUBES strategy within their instructional toolbox for assisting students to set up and solve word problems.

Sharon Moehle is in her 20th year as a Math educator. She holds a BA in secondary math education and a Masters in Teaching and Learning with K-12 Technology Integration. Sharon's teaching experiences range from seventh grade through high school advanced levels of mathematics.
