Both the slides/study materials uploaded are focused more on the practical approach of diagnosis of fungal infection resulting in abortion (mycotic abortion) and dimorphic fungi infection causing both systemic and superficial infection in the host. The slides described culture and microscopic morphology of important fungi with image description to a certain extent.

Dr Rinmuanpui Ralte BVSc & AH, MVSc, PhD

Completed her B.V.Sc & A.H, degree from Central Agricultural University, Aizawl, Mizoram (India) with top honors. Then went on to complete her M.V.Sc in Immunology from the Premier Veterinary Research institute – Indian Veterinary Research Institute at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh (India) working on novel vaccine production for FMD virus infection in animals. Her Doctoral degree was conferred on her work on novel antigen production for development of immunological kit for diagnosis of retrovirus infection in chickens. She was also awarded with a woman scientist of the year 2010, by Indian Society of Veterinary immunology and biotechnology at a conference in Namakal, Tamil Nadu.
A Veterinary Immunologist, she is currently working as an Associate Professor, Dept. of Microbiology and Dept. of Livestock Product Technology, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar.
