This course presents the physiology of pain perception, the factors of pain reaction, the attitudes toward the patient in pain which may hinder therapy, the effectiveness and limitations of pain medication, and the use of multiple noninvasive and alternative pain therapies. It provides a holistic approach to chronic pain.
