MEET DR. PENNY SOMMERS:
I taught at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma for 30 years and retired in December, 2015. I am now working on the Gerontology Certificate program through the College of Extended Learning at Northeastern State University. At Northeastern State University I developed the Human and Family Sciences online degree program and taught all of the HFS classes offered online.

My co-teacher for the class is a long haired dachshund named Dieter. (His picture is included) He sits with me most of the time that I work online.

I have two grand-girls, 10 and 13, who live in Virginia just outside of DC. I just spent two weeks with the girls and their parents in Virginia. Both girls are competitive gymnastists. The older one had a meet in Orlando, Florida. She and I went to Florida and spent 5 days. So much fun. Being a grammy is the best.
