Audience members will learn about the most common renal toxins including NSAIDS, cholecalciferol, ethylene glycol, grapes/raisins, and lilies. Mechanism of action, as well as treatment and prognosis, will be discussed.

Dr. Michelle Carlino, DVM
on behalf of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society

Dr. Michelle Carlino attended undergrad at the University of Iowa, went to vet school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and she completed her clinicals at UW Madison. Before joining the ASPCA Poison Control Center in 2016, Dr. Carlino worked in general practice and then for an at home hospice and euthanasia practice.  After having a dog with congenital kidney disease, Dr. Carlino developed a special interest in the kidneys.
