Description

Pharmacies rely upon their participation in many different insurance programs. However, the PBMs that regulate pharmacy participation have taken a very aggressive stance against various business practices of pharmacies. This program will familiarize you with recent trends in PBM audits of pharmacies and better prepare you for the future.

Brad Howard is a health care attorney with Brown & Fortunato, P.C. specializing in governmental investigations, payer disputes, litigation, including mediation and regulatory arbitration of disputes, compliance, and general business matters. Brad is a 1991 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law. Brad advises pharmacies, drug wholesalers, durable medical equipment companies, long term care facilities, home health agencies, hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers on compliance matters and frequently represents them in proceedings before the OIG, the DOJ, most federal and state agencies, including United States Attorney inquiries, and in court proceedings around the country. Brad is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. Brad frequently speaks to national, state and local organizations on compliance matters. Brad and his wife Nicole have four boys, and as a family they enjoy running races and staying active.
