Description

Among the various types of addictions, drug addiction is the most devastating. Addiction to drugs such as morphine, cocaine, LSD, PCP, heroin, opium, methamphetamine or prescription drugs can lead to destruction of one’s personal life, suffering in families, divorce, financial loss, the inability to maintain a job and even premature death. Addiction to illicit and prescription drugs is not a new phenomenon in North America. Drug addiction is a social problem that has many repercussions. It can lead to serious, long-term consequences including problems with physical and emotional health, difficulty in interpersonal relationships, financial loss, loss of jobs and legal difficulties. In most cases, prescription drug addiction requires professional help. The stronger the family support, the better the chance of overcoming prescription drug addiction.
